When you are doing work to clear your blocks and raise your vibration frequency so you can break free from limiting thoughts and patterns, you are working to shift your thought and energy patterns, your very way of being in the world and with yourself. For some people it can be a really simple, grace filled and easy process. For others, there can be some additional physical or emotional process to go through as you create that shift.
While a lot of people find they are significantly more upbeat, energetic, peace-filled or joyful in the week after a clearing sessions, some people find they may be more emotional or sensitive in the days following intensive clearing work, and sometimes people experience a need for more sleep or are aware of physical discomforts or limitations. This aren’t any reason to worry, it’s just how the clearing process is expressing in that instance and usually indicates that some deep things are clearing or trying to process and shift. You can support yourself during these times by consciously choosing the higher vibration – allowing yourself to let go of the fear, anger, sadness, guilt, etc and purposefully choosing Loving and Light.
There are also some other things you can do to help support you when doing clearing work:
Nutritional shifts
- NO – red meat, dairy, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, white flour, white sugar, artificial colors/ flavors/ preservatives
- MORE – B Vitamins, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, fresh fruits and fresh squeezed juices, lean protein and fresh vegetables
- Mineral water (flat or fizzy) with fresh squeezed lemon juice (not filtered tap water like from the major Soda companies, etc)
Wellness
- More time outside in nature, especially around large bodies of or moving water
- Showering at night helps rebalance positive and negative ions
- Soaking in hot mineral salt baths at least 1x/ week (epsom salt ok, but not great)
- Additional sleep supports clearing, healing, processing, rebooting and integration
Listen carefully to what your body is communicating to you and ask, ‘Does my body need this to support it’s ultimate healing and well being?’ and use your best common sense and intuitive insight when choosing what to put into and do with your body. If you crave something on the ‘No-No’ list, see if your body needs that and choose accordingly. Sometimes you crave a cookie for emotional reasons and sometimes you crave because there is something in it that you need – the more you pay attention to the what and why of your choices, the more informed they can be.
Craving salt and sugar can indicate a need for more electrolytes, so a multivitamin or some fruit with salt on it and lemon water can help to satisfy that need without downing a gallon of ice cream fat and calories. Notice what your body is asking for and consider what they underlying motivation is (to help with processing or to avoid feelings that are coming up for clearing) as you make your choices in how to support your healing intentions.

Hi Kashashana,
I’m in the middle of doing this type of self care for clearing work.
How important is it to avoid dairy? I have a hard time giving up cheese (after giving up everything else 🙂 Is decaf also not good? Is almond milk unsweetened ok?
Will water from companies that do reverse osmosis work instead of mineral water,if that is hard to obtain? Why mineral baths?
Congratulations on your website-you were so kind to me last year during a spiritual crisis-thank you!
Janice
Sorry for the delay in response, Janice I seem to have missed the notice of your comment and only just saw this now.
Most people after the age of 7 or 8 lack the enzymes to digest cow’s milk so instead of getting good nutrition from ingesting it, it creates an inflammation response (and mucous). Every body is different and we all have choices in what is important to us at different times. Some people find eliminating dairy from their diet entirely provides sufficient rewards to make it worth it to them on a long or short term basis. Some people will include only certain dairy based foods under certain circumstances. Consider that sugar really lowers vibration frequency, yet it makes such yummy tasting things and most of us just aren’t willing to miss out on a tasty treat from time to time. The main thing is to find what works for you and make conscious choices based on what your intentions are. Maybe you find that minimizing your dairy intake to include good quality cheeses a few times a month is a good balance for you and your lifestyle.
Caffeine is a stimulant that leads most people to be out of touch with their body and triggers the fight-or-flight response, which mimics anxiety physiologically and upsets the bodies equilibrium. Regular coffee is 5% caffeine, decaf is 2.5%, so the difference really isn’t much, especially since most people will drink more decaf coffee than they would if they were just drinking regular coffee. Additionally, coffee is decaffeinated using formaldehyde, which is very toxic. So if someone is going to drink coffee, smaller amounts of regular is easier on the body. If it is a flavor attraction there are other options such as sucking/ eating coffee or espresso beans, but keep in mind that they still have the caffeine and are acidic so limiting to a few a day is a good idea. For people who’s attraction is to the ritual of the warm drink, an herbal tea can be a great substitute. Almond & Hazelnut (even Soy milk in small quantities due to phytoestrogens) can be good substitutes for dairy. Depending on the sweetener used (some use agave nectar, etc) even the sweetened can be fine. You can also find more suggestions on substitutions for dairy depending on the use here: http://www.eatingwithfoodallergies.com/dairysubstitutes.html
Reverse Osmosis water is safe to drink and doesn’t negatively impact the body, but it doesn’t add anything either as there are no trace minerals in it, which is what the mineral water provides. Some people have excellent home water purification systems or like the ease of home delivery (and the added positive of not clogging up our planet with plastic bottles in addition to the dollar savings), so you can also mineralize your water with something like this (I find this works really well for me & I like the vibration of this, but see what fits for you):

You can also find a slightly better priced option at Vitamin Shoppe:

Glad I could be of help! Just let me know if you have any more questions.
